Drugi tekmovalni dan so organizatorji v zmernem maestralu izpeljali tri plove in s skupno šestimi regatami zadostili pravilom veljavnosti prvenstva. Po odbitku najslabšega rezultata je vodstvo prevzela italijanska jadrnica Altea.
Po dolgem čakanju in mnogih negotovostih se je danes v Portorožu začelo evropsko prvenstvo jadralnega razreda Melges 24. Za evropsko krono se poteguje 40 posadk iz 14 držav.
Nefeli (GER673) kicked-off the third event of the Melges 24 European Sailing Series in style, posting two race wins, a third and a second place on day one and defending its lead ahead of Arkanoe by Montura (ITA809) with two second places and another bullet on day two.
The last day of the 2019 Melges 24 European Sailing Series opening event in Portorož concluded with the first victory of Lenny Sailing Team and a nail biting fight for the second place.
The Marina Portorož Melges 24 Regatta, first event in the 2019 Melges 24 European Sailing Series, started with a delay on shore until the southerly wind wrinkled the bay. Thirty teams representing ten nations from all over the Europe managed to complete three races with team Lenny emerging as the early leader.
The engines are warming up in Portoroz, Slovenia where in the upcoming weekend, from April 5th to 7th, the inaugural act of the 2019 Melges 24 European Sailing Series – Marina Portoroz Melges 24 Regatta – will be hosted by Yacht Club Marina Portoroz and Slovenian Melges 24 Class Association, with the cooperation of the International Melges 24 Class Association.
