Less than 10 knots of breeze proved challenging for some crews competing at the second act of the 2018 Melges 24 European Sailing Series while for others it was a chance to put their light wind skills on display and move up the scoreboard.
The second event of the 2018 Melges 24 European Sailing Series kicks off with a full day of racing in the spectacular Slovenian bay of Piran. After having left the moorings of Yacht Club Marina Portoroz for the start at 12.00 as by schedule, the twenty-five participating crews of eleven nations have completed three races with Northerly breeze that progressively went decreasing in the afternoon.
After the 2018 season opener in Punta Ala in March, the international Melges 24 fleet gets back on the water – this time moving to the Adriatic Sea and benefiting from the wonderful hospitality of Yacht Club Marina Portoroz, where from April 27th to 29th the second event of the Melges 24 European Sailing Series 2018 will be raced, in coincidence with the Alpe Adria Cup.
